The peace that is possible inside the church.

I would like to nominate St Mary’s Church, Little Ilford. It is a small C12th Norman church in Manor Park, Newham, East London. It was one of the churches in the parish where I was a curate so it has strong personal memories for me, but the fact that it is nearly 1000 years old, the fact that there are Hugenots buried in the Crypt, and the peace that is possible inside the church in such a busy and diverse London borough as Newham, make it very special.
