My choice of church is New North Road Baptist Church in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, where I have been in membership for just 8 months.

The current building has been in existence for just 40 years, though its history goes back to 1846. I am nominating it because of its location in a vibrant town centre setting. The worship area is an attractive space with some striking modern stained glass windows. It is now in need of some modernisation and the church is currently exploring options here. The whole premises though offer attractive and flexible space where many groups come in during the week – young and old – as the church seeks to reach out to the needs of the town. Recently a cafe has been added. Particularly notable is a weekly drop-in for those seeking asylum. The church has a commitment to using the building to fulfil the Kingdom vision that all may flourish.
